Climate-neutral

Bookfactory.ch is one of the first companies of its kind to offer a climate-neutral process for a small surcharge. How does it work?

To produce its photobooks Bookfactory.ch consumes many
tonnes of paper, printing ink and cleaning supplies every year.
When creating the electrical energy needed for this process carbon
dioxide CO² and other Grenn-House-Gases are emitted, which put a strain
on our environment. By using a climate-neutral process during production,
Bookfactory.ch balances this climate relevant emission by reducing the same
amount of greenhouse gas at another location.

In the context of climate protection it is not relevant, where in the
world emissions are created and where they are avoided; reduction
can occur anywhere in the world. Bookfactory.ch will invest your
contribution to climate change in climate-neutral production by purchasing
high-quality emission reduction units from myclimate  – The Climate
Protection Partnership (www.myclimate.org). myclimate supports the
use of renewable energies and energy efficient technologies in its worldwide
carbon offset projects.

By paying a small voluntary 1.6% surcharge of the purchase price
of your photobook you together with Bookfactory.ch are contributing
to climate protection.
