Today is a special day - our mascot Bu is celebrating his birthday on Bubu-Rot-Friitig! A day that stands for joy, colour and emotion and not for Black Friday. Celebrate this unique day with Bu and win one of three vouchers worth CHF 100! Bring some Bubu-Red into your life! Find out more below.
We introduced this special day because we decided against the Black Friday discount battle. Bubu-Red is not just a colour, but a way of life. A lot of love, time, expertise and unique craftsmanship go into our products! This is why we cannot justify prices that are significantly below the normal value of the goods to our employees, partners and suppliers.
So today we are not only celebrating Bu and Bubu-Rot-Friitig, but also the uniqueness of every handmade creation!
To celebrate the day, Bu tells you in the latest blog post what he has been able to experience with us so far.

We wish you lots of fun and, above all, good luck in the prize draw!

We tie our vision across generations: Three Bubu logos symbolise continuity and change in three management generations and over 80 years of company history. Since 2004, Bookfactory has been part of it and very close to it.
We bind books
For company founder Albert Burkhardt, it was all about books when he founded the company in 1941. A sound craft business demonstrates what he produced.
We bind books and more
In 1984, book designer Jost Hochuli developed a modern logo for Hans Burkhardt in the form of an abstract book: an industrial company with strong craft roots which is innovative and open to new developments.
We bind emotions, traditions and generations
A new image in 2015: the book is disappearing from the logo and the concept of «binding» becomes key. This is made clear by the bridge between «bu» and «bu».
