Whether the reference to the longevity of our books in the photo of Noe van Messel at the rope pulling is obvious or rather less, remains to be seen. With a little imagination and magnanimity, however, some parallels can be seen: Noe keeps himself fit and strengthens his endurance with rope-pulling training. He also keeps his mind alert for surprising actions of the opponent and tactics himself with a game of letting go and tightening. At the same time, rope training only works if the rope is of the highest quality and can withstand the strong pull of the swingers – you can imagine what would happen if the swingers pulled on a rope that failed a serious load test... And finally, the rope is simply also a perfect metaphor for tying, which is the common thread running through our offer. Below, I'll try to explain how the other aspects of tying the rope are also relevant to the longevity of our books and our work.
Few things are more suitable than our photo products for preserving emotions for eternity: with images and photos, we capture moments that touch us specifically and whose memory is important to us. While these experiences are usually first captured digitally, these data carriers are often only temporary caches and the emotions all too often disappear into digital nirvana – or how often have you dug out digital photos that are more than 5 years old?
Our haptic and thus tangible products are perfectly suited to preserve your special moments in a dignified way. Just processing the images into a photo book, for example, is a beautiful way to revisit that special experience – and, once the hand-held keepsake is then produced, it can be pulled out again and again, allowing memories to resurface, whether for a few seconds as you flip through them or for several minutes as you look at them together.
A photo book thus gives emotions a longevity that is unparalleled and, to use the sports analogy, trains the endurance of memories.
We at Bookfactory are proud to be able to support the up-and-coming young wrestler Noe van Messel as a partner.
Perhaps a bit daring, but photo books keep you young! Constantly reliving once-in-a-lifetime experiences, unforgettable moments, painful memories or other noteworthy events is a permanent brain workout. Just like Noe in rope pulling, you are challenged to let go of certain moments and yet you can pull them closer to you again while looking at the photo book. The "corpore sano" of the photo book helps you do this in its own unique way....
Above we have pondered about the quality of the rope. Also in our photo books we attach importance to the processing of qualitative materials by unique labor. For example, for the production of the book covers we use high quality handmade cardboard, which is a bit more expensive to buy, but which gives the book a much stronger protection (for example, against knocked-in corners or against damaged pages) than a cheap cardboard. We also use only FSC-certified paper, which guarantees a sustainable method of production. And, crucial for the longevity of the book, our books are produced by trained professionals whose quality awareness exceeds the process reliability even further.
Accordingly, our products are of the highest quality and therefore form a basis for long-term preservation, even with intensive use.
As already stated in my first blog post on the topic of Swiss Made (What connects us with the sport of swinging? Swiss Made!), we are also linked to the sport of swinging by sustainability thanks to Swiss SME values. We have been allowed to exist in the market for over 80 years. Since we plan to be there for you for many more years, we will also stand up for the longevity of our products, respectively your emotions and are always available for questions, suggestions or comments.
So, at second glance, there are indeed some similarities between the rope-pulling Noe and the longevity of our products – I hope I have convinced you!
